She is a member of the research panel i2ADS at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Porto. In Porto, she is an artist with the collective Rua do Sol with whom she manages the independent art space Galeria do Sol. She recently collaborates with Maria Bernardino in Didático Obscuro, a project about game and play as an art practice. Degree in Fine Arts Multimedia at Faculdade de Belas Artes da&nbsp; Universidade do Porto in 2011, having finished her last year under the Erasmus programme in Hochschule für Bildende Künste Dresden, Germany. In 2014 she completed her Master in Fine Arts at Escola Superior de Artes e Design in Caldas da Rainha.&nbsp; Amarante, 1988.Vive e trabalha no Porto. É co-fundadora do Núcleo de Investigação PARALAXE - um projecto de criação e investigação entre a prática artística e a investigação científica, decorrendo a primeira edição no Instituto Geofísico. Integra recentemente o painel de investigadores do i2ADS da Faculdade de Belas Artes do Porto. linhas. Por essa razão, as pessoas que viviam nesse lugar eram simultaneamente felizes e infelizes; estavam constantemente num estado de ansiedade contraditória. Ora destroçadas pela incapacidade de se definirem, e regularem, ora exaltadas e vibrantes e celebratórias por serem a mais bela imagem da unidade primordial, a osmose completa. Aparte toda a ansiedade, de que me abstenho de aprofundar, o que nos interessa neste pequeno conto ou evocação é a incapacidade que estas pessoas tinham em brincar. Brincar, ou jogar, significa em traços largos (traço era também uma palavra inexistente neste lugar antigo) ressignificar as linhas, e tornar distintas mas também cinzentas as regras; opções, comando, controlo. As pessoas sem linhas não brincavam porque a distância entre dentro ou fora não existia, assim como a distância entre uma pessoa e outra pessoa. Não sabiam brincar, pronto. Não tinham condições reunidas para que se brincasse. Para que se fizessem brincadeiras e jogos. A tristeza era um dos estados generalizados (também ela não tinha limites e se juntava a outros estados), porque embora estas pessoas não tivessem nunca brincado, sentiam-lhe a falta.Talvez não estejamos longe de compreender este lugar de angústia mas em diferentes direcções. 1+2 = A CORRIDA A Luísa, insubordinada, também decidiu que jamais deixaria de habitar esse tempo de cacofonias intermináveis, a partir de onde se é criança. A sua estratégia, pelo que posso verificar, foi inventar as linhas para o mundo de onde elas tinham desaparecido ou nunca entrado. (Ninguém me contou e posso estar errada, mas uma vez conhecido o conto acima, não hesitei nesta compreensão.) E a partir daí poder brincar novamente, ou melhor, brincar primeiramente, recobrindo a significação dos significados (é melosa esta frase, para ficar colada na boca) que por cá - no nosso lugar - existem; o que é uma rede, o que está fora, quem é o Bacon, a distância e complementaridade entre as cores. Quem vê de fora, e há muito deixou de ser criança, poderá fazer perguntas idiotas - e isto, porque a insolência não existe nesta nesta linguagem horizontalizada - olhando para esta obra, ou poderá deixar-se escorregar para dentro da brincadeira e arriscar saltar as linhas, segmentos, planos, despido do seu (li esta diferenciação num livro que me divertiu muito, O Animal Social) e arriscar cair - AAAAAAHHHHHH - no , que ao que consta é mítico, tem uma dimensão que foge ao pensamento paradigmático e que se prende com alguma coisa próxima da ética, ou da linha que a separa da moral - a distinção entre bem, mal; sagrado, profano - existindo com uma muito maior compreensão emocional e capacidade narrativa (eu acrescentaria mesmo, literária). Deixo apenas o final de uma descrição de uma brincadeira, presente no mesmo livro, porque acho óptima, e nos serve o caminho: "Os rapazes reagiram aos invasores com alarme e medo. Lutaram sobre o tapete e alinharam os cavalos contra os invasores, mas gritavam uns para os outros: Tudo parecia perdido. Mas Harold inventou um cavalo branco gigante, dez vezes maior do que os brinquedos com que brincavam. , gritou ele, e respondeu à sua própria pergunta: Que investiu contra os invasores. Dois outros rapazes mudaram de equipa e começaram a atirar invasores contra o Cavalo Branco. Uma batalha apocalíptica. O Cavalo esmagou os invasores, mas os invasores feriram o Cavalo. Os invasores estavam quase todos mortos, mas o Cavalo também estava a morrer. Então, taparam-no, fizeram-lhe o funeral e a alma do Cavalo subiu ao céu." O tempo da corrida de Zinadine Zidane no ensaio cinematográfico 21st Century Portrait (2006) de Douglas Gordon e Phillipe Parreno é o retrato de um tempo todo, dentro e além do evento. A Corrida de Luísa Abreu abre-se a essa potência diáfana (corpo translúcido) do tempo, fora e dentro do que aqui se dá a ver, um lugar onde o tabuleiro é a região aberta de um espaço anacrónico e translúcido. Se o nosso olho nos encaminhar para as partículas, as pinturas, objetos, formas e teias, tecidos e marcos, dados e objetivos, o nosso olho apenas avista esses corpos de cuja uma noção de tempo e espaço maior os absorve. O que vemos é se não mais o tempo todo do jogo e da criação. A pintura, o desenho e a escultura das formas assinalam um mapeamento mnemónico do universo visual da obra de Luísa Abreu. De recuos e avanços, Corrida é uma nova prova de vizinhança, energizando essa camada de tensão que se agita no lado a lado das formas e signos do seu imaginário. A Grelha passa a existir enquanto espaço orbital onde os signos que nela habitam são do termo molecular e embrionário, movimentando-se dentro e fora da sua esquadria, dinâmica tal, confirmada pela própria grelha, que se torna também ela signo, obstruindo todas as camadas do espaço. É esse sentido de habitar que lateja na instalação pictórica que Luísa Abreu organiza em todo o espaço da galeria, habitamos este constructo, este lugar tabuleiro, onde as formas, matérias e agora o corpo de quem nela habita, correm e percorrem. Se olhamos para um tabuleiro de jogo como um lugar matriz, será também esta exposição uma instalação matriz, onde tudo o que possa compor o seu imaginário habita num espaço em potência. Exposição-tabuleiro que se coloca sobre a mesa -- chão paredes, tetos e pilares da galeria, são rebatidos e estendidos numa composição imagética. Talvez seja esse o lugar expositivo como lugar de mesa, onde nos damos ao outro, onde professamos com ele, onde nos propomos a ele. O tabuleiro, ou agora a exposição, como timeline, desdobrando-se como um mapa onde montamos e remontamos as imagens, constituímos e ativamos o arquivo das formas e em seguida, sentamo-nos, conversamos, jogamos, expandimos.
